澳洲和新西兰是两个人口较稀少的国家，目前人口只有2300万人口， 但消费能力非常强。被人们普遍认识的SAA (Standards Association of Australia) 其实是一个标准研究所，主管标准的制定和修订。他的标志也并不是澳洲产品认证标志。正确的标志分为产品安全（没固定的标志，可用证书号来表示）和 C-tick (EMC)标志。在安全认证方面，根据产品类别不同，分强制认证产品(Declared Articles)和非强制认证产品（Non-Declared Article）。
